| WAB recommends that all families applying
for places at the school come to visit the campus. An Admissions
Officer would be delighted to show you around the facilities
and answer any questions you may have about the program.
If you decide to apply to WAB, you will
follow the steps below
Step 1. Make an Application
A complete application consists of the following:
a. Completed application form (all grades)
b. Copies (in English) of school reports from the previous
two years (all grades, except for Nursery and Pre-Kindergarten)
c. Copies of any available standardized test results, for
example, ISA (all grades, when available)
d. Student Statement (Grades 1-12 only)
e. Parent Form (Nursery and Pre-Kindergarten only)
f. Student Recommendation Form, completed by a current teacher
(Grades 1-12 only)
g. Copy of passport of one of the parents (all grades)
h. Copy of student’s passport. For citizens of Taiwan,
Hong Kong and Macau, a copy of a valid Temporary Residence
Permit must also be included (all grades)
i. 1 current passport-sized photograph of the student
j. Copy of Individual Education Program (IEP) (all grades,
if applicable)
k. Copies of any psycho-educational evaluations (all grades,
if applicable)
Step 2. Application is Reviewed
An Admissions Officer will review the application and contact
you if any further information is required.
Step 3. Pay Registration Fee
Once the file is complete the Admissions Officer will contact
you to ask you to pay the RMB 1660 registration fee. At this
stage the student is registered in the pool of students waiting
for places at WAB.
Step 4. ESOL/Learning Support Assessment
Some student files will be assessed by ESOL and learning
support teams to ensure that WAB can support their learning
needs. Please see the policy section of this website for further
information on ESOL and learning support policies at WAB.
