Always wanted to explore your creative potentials? Join us for some painting and decorating fun for the PTA Fun Fair Festival.

Drop in the ES Art Department (first room on left in the Green Wing) from 9:00am to 11:30am. Your help will be much appreciated to make this day a great and special one for your children and all the families.

The Small Change Drive
A BIG, BIG, BIG thank you to all the students, staff members and parents who contributed so generously and worked so hard on the Small Change Appeal. The Appeal is now over but the money is still being counted. The grand total of all your generosity will be reported as soon as possible. There are, however, still a few children whose school fees have not been paid. If you would individually like to help a child, please contact Jocelyn Blinn on jocelynblinn@yahoo.com

For as little as RMB 300 you can enable a child to go to school for a whole year!!!

Spring Clothing Appeal
April 2 – April 27
It’s time to sort those wardrobes! Clothing and shoes from baby to adult size can be donated for our clothing appeal.

All items are given to orphanages, homeless centers, schools, elderly, and to poor villages as far as southwest China. Please no swimsuits, underwear or party clothes.

Drop off points for clean, gently used adult and children’s clothing/shoes are in the ES Foyer (between main front doors), The Link (outside JingXi Place) or HS (between main front doors).

Clothes may also be dropped off at the homes of the following PTA members. Please call first to confirm.

Stationery and Accessory Appeal

The Jo Charles Foundation for Children in Need enables young children to attend primary school in Sichuan Province.

For these children, the PTA is organizing a collection of cheerful new or gently used children’s items such as bracelets and necklaces, hair clips, headbands, scarves and small bags.

We will also be collecting colored pencils, rulers, sharpeners, erasers and canvas pencil cases. Please note that fragile or sharp items are discouraged.

Collection boxes can be found inside PTA Place (ES) and Jingxi Place (HUB) during the month of April.

PTA Gift Goes a Long Way

Thanks to the generosity of the PTA, a gift of 100,000 RMB has not only provided the HS with an outdoor half-court volleyball/basketball court, but now is contributing towards the installation of volleyball posts and the exciting addition of lighting and sound equipment for a new, permanent stage to be installed in the HUB.

Many thanks to the PTA for this gift, which contributes significantly to the quality and availability of sporting and cultural facilities at WAB.
