Journey
in Space: PTA Fun Fair 2007
The
2007 PTA Fun Fair ‘A Journey
in Space’, will blast off Saturday
May 19 at 2:00pm. Mission Control volunteers
have been busy since January planning
an exciting journey through space.
The
space travelers will encounter a well
stocked food tent to help keep hunger away
as they make their way through the games
and fun.
Vendors offering food for our astronauts
include Subway, Smallville and The Yard,
Euro Bakery, Mrs. Shanen’s, the Korean
Community, Beijing Pitta Bakery, German
Food Center and of course popcorn and cotton
candy. ‘Missions’ tickets will
be used to purchase food and beverages.
Space travelers will be able to fight a
Space Duel, Feed the Aliens, Soak the Astronaut,
Hit the Asteroid, take a Space Walk, play
Crater Golf and go on a treasure hunt.
Be prepared to get wet! Water plays
an important role in several of the games
the kids enjoy most, including the water
slide.
Gary Agg will take the helm on the WAB
stage and guide our travelers through a
galaxy of WAB star performers including
WAB bands and choirs.
There will also be a Fear Factor contest
as well as many surprises.
WAB Wild will be offering students, Grade
4 and above, the chance to test their skill
on the Vertex Climbing Wall.
Proceeds from ticket sales for the climbing
wall will be donated to WAB Wild and will
be sold separately from the Fun Fair tickets.
To help you prepare to have fun on our
space journey, tickets will be available
the week before the Fun Fair.
Volunteers are still needed to help run
the games.
Room parents will be organizing parent
volunteers for the games so please sign
up for a 30-60 minute time slot or express
your creative talents at the weekly decoration
meetings, held Mondays and Fridays from
9:00am - 11:00am in the ES Art wing. Please
contact ZsaZsu at if you’d like to
help blast off this fun event.
