The Parent Teacher Association (PTA) is an organization
dedicated to supporting and improving the education and well being
of the students at WAB. In keeping with the school’s philosophy,
we also seek to forge among parents, students, teaching and non-teaching
staff a unified and caring community within the school and our
outside community.
The PTA is made up of parents in association with
teachers and administrators. We communicate and consult with all
areas of the school, from students to the Board of Governors.
Through the organization of charitable activities, social events
and programs to support the school curriculum, parents have the
opportunity to participate in their child’s education and
to meet and become more involved with other members of the WAB
community.
The PTA consistently supports the outstanding facilities
at WAB through the sponsorship of special items such as the Secret
Garden, additional shade cover, bleacher seating and play equipment.
The PTA is also proud of the charitable work done by the WAB community,
which includes fundraising drives to support the vast needs of
the local population for education, clothing, heating and health
care.
The PTA is open to all parents and we very much
hope that you will participate in events and activities whenever
possible.
How can you be involved?
Attend monthly PTA meetings, which are typically held
on the last Tuesday of every month. The meetings are a great opportunity
to communicate with Senior Management, learn about new developments
at school and to participate in the PTA sponsored events.
Need more information?
We hope that you will join us! If you would like
to be involved in any of the activities listed, or just want to
learn more about the PTA and opportunities to be involved at school,
please contact Cindy Bonczyk, PTA President, by email: pta@wab.edu
