WAB is highly regarded in the international school community as a school with a special feel - it is welcoming, caring and supportive. The 2003 Accreditation Report described WAB as 'extraordinary'.

WAB is an IBO World School – Nursery to Grade 12 (ages 3-18 year olds) school with approximately 1400 students.  The school facilities are exceptional, inspirational and are amongst the best in the world, providing a unique environment for students and staff to work and learn in.  The school campus comprises 5 separate buildings - Early Childhood Center, Elementary School, Middle School, HUB - Sports, Arts and Technology Center (shared by the Middle School and High School), and the newly opened High School.

The school has been designed with a contemporary outlook on schooling.  Spread across a park-like campus, the design of the buildings reflects both the host country China and the school’s commitment to learning communities. The High School in particular has been designed to give a pre-college atmosphere, not just as a feel but as a reality.

We try to contain that a little through our annual development plans - but most projects tend to become bigger rather than smaller, because of the drive to excel and "do our best" of our teachers.
