WAB HS Course Guide 2008/09
The Mission of the Western Academy of Beijing ‘Educate our children to reach their full potential within a warm and caring community that fosters excellence and responsibility’ is evident in the challenges and opportunities offered to students in Grade 9-12. Graduation options include demanding college/university preparatory courses in the IB Diploma Program, IB certificate courses, WAB high school courses and ‘Transition to Work’ vocational courses.
WAB is an International Baccalaureate World School, authorized to offer the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Program, Middle Years Program and the Diploma Program. WAB aims to prepare students to become independent learners and responsible international citizens. The International Baccalaureate Diploma option provides excellent, rigorous course offerings allowing students to seek admission to colleges and universities throughout the world.
The High School at WAB, together with the HUB Sports Arts and Technology Center, pool, and excellent outdoor sports facilities provide students and faculty with an outstanding learning environment.
The WAB High School Course Guide provides program information to assist students and parents in their discussions with counselors and teachers in choosing appropriate programs of study. Use this guide as a basis for important conversations as you choose courses that will provide the broadest options as you prepare for the future.
