As an International Baccalaureate World School, authorized by
the International Baccalaureate to offer the IB Primary Years,
IB Middle Years and IB Diploma Programs, WAB strives to prepare
High School students tolearn independently and to be responsible,
international citizens.
The WAB curriculum and facilities are designed to provide a seamless
transition from Middle School to High School. The inquiry-based
model of learning which guides our teaching practice through the
Elementary and Middle Schools continues into High School. Decisions
about facilities, programs, resources and equipment are guided
by the acknowledgement that students are young adults in the final
stages of preparation for independent learning and living.
A broad range of course offerings provides students with the opportunity
to design a program of studies specific to their individual interests
and abilities. Students may choose to study the IB Diploma Program
or a combination of IB Courses and WAB High School Courses.
The WAB High School facilities have been designed specifically
to provide students with increased independence and responsibility.
Wireless internet access, comfortable student lounge spaces, multiple
restaurant options and quiet study facilities enable students to
work and socialize in a mature and comfortable atmosphere. Combined
with generous staffing and excellent resources, students are free
to focus on realizing their potential.
The aim of the High School Program is to develop Open Minded,
Principled, Well Balanced, Knowledgeable and Inquiring learners
willing to Take-Risks, Think Critically and Reflect upon their
actions in today's modern, dynamic world.
The High School Program highlights WAB as an international school
of excellence and a model for schools of the future. We are confident
students who join our High School will not only learn and grow
during their time here, but will leave WAB ready to take their
place as leaders in our global community.
