After Graduation
Whether our students are contemplating college or university, a gap year, military service or other post-high school options, our team of highly experienced High School counselors ensures that each student receives individualized service to assist them in that transition.
With 98% of WAB graduates attending degree-seeking programs, our High School counselors work closely with our students to enroll them in the appropriate graduation path and make certain that both students and parents are aided through the complexities of the university application process. They work diligently to support the choices of students and families to find the country, the program or option that is best for all.
WAB is a truly international school, with students representing 54 different nationalities and preparing for post-high school opportunities all across the globe. Graduates from the past two years have gone on to universities and colleges in Australia, Canada, Korea, UK, US, France, Netherlands, Switzerland, Japan, Germany, Austria, China, Norway, Sweden and Belgium. Gap year programs extend that list even further.

Through this individualized program, students gain competencies in a multitude of areas: interviewing, communication skills, writing curriculum vitae, IT skills and team building to name a few. WAB's reputation as a leading world school has been demonstrated by an increasing number of colleges and universities representatives visiting our campus from around the globe. This year alone, we are receiving more than 60 representatives from over a dozen countries including Australia, Canada, China, Korea, United Kingdom and the United States. Such broad interest from universities is a sure sign that WAB graduates are sought after.
We are justifiably proud of how the quality of our programs, hard work of our teachers and commitment from our students is placing WAB on the map.
WAB was a life-changing, eye-opening experience for me. It is a place of wonderful opportunities and a diverse global environment. WAB gave me the skills I need for higher education and I definitely would not be where I am today without WAB - Mona, Class of 2007, New York University
WAB prepared me very well for the diversity of thought and talent I have encountered in college; WAB's atmosphere has given me a head start on learning how to manage my time-a great help for coping with college. - Catherine, Class of 2009, Stanford University
WAB has prepared me for university in so many ways. Completing the 2-year IB Diploma equipped me well for university. The experience I gained from my 4 years at WAB completing orphanage work and Backpack appeals helped me to decide on my Sociology degree, and encouraged me to participate in programs where I can travel to Africa, Thailand and India to further volunteer and help out in the world. - Ruth, Class of 2009, University of Birmingham
