WAB
1st GRADE 10 WORK EXPERIENCE WEEK - June 1 2007
This week – May 28 to June
1 - is a significant week in the
development of educational opportunities
for High School students at WAB.
All Grade 10 students will experience
the World of Work in a wide variety
of occupations. This is a first
for WAB and certainly is not the
norm for International Schools.
The development of such a programme
has been built on the generosity
of the businesses concerned, the
support of interested parents and
a need for WAB to prepare our students
for the future.
VISA INFORMATION FOR STUDENTS TURNING 18 YEARS
OF AGE - May 11 2007
In June last year, government regulations for 18 year olds
studying in international schools changed so that students would require
their own visas and could not study in China as dependents on their parents’ visas.
GRADUATION CEREMONY AND DINNER/DANCE -
April 6 2007
On June 2nd, we will celebrate our first graduation class
with a 10:00 am ceremony at the Confucius Temple. The historic and
educational significance of the Confucius Temple will ensure that our
graduation is unique amongst Chinese International Schools. We look
forward to a unique and highly memorable ceremony for our first graduating
class.
NAVIANCE FEVER! - SUPPORTING THE COLLEGE APPLICATION
PROCESS - March 2 2007
We are happy to introduce to you Naviance which is an exciting
program designed to help students investigate their future as well as
help them with their university searches and process their applications
online. Contrary to the title of this page, it is not a new flu bug ready
to hit Beijing!
GRADE 11 SAT AND SAT PREPARATION COURSE
- February 2 2007
All WAB Grade 11 students will be registered to write the SAT
on Saturday, June 2nd. The WAB counseling team will register
all students for this assessment unless students notify their
counselor before March 2nd that they do not intend to write
the exam. The cost of registration for this SAT will be paid
by WAB however in order to avoid unnecessary fees, it is imperative
that students advise their counselor if they do not intend to
sit this test. Please note that students who do not write the
exam and who do not notify their counselor to cancel their registration
will be invoiced for the cost of the SAT.
