This year, the MS Temple Fair, was held
on Friday February 16 from 11:00am – 12:20pm, offered hands-on opportunities
for ES students and WAB families to explore different Chinese
cultural activities. WAB MS students, staff, visiting experts
and parents lead 15 different activities.
These include making:- lanterns, toffee fruits and spring rolls,
figures from clay and bread dough, traditional kites and toys.
Participants can also learn about Chinese New Year painting, calligraphy
and color brush writing, as well as seal carving, the dragon dance,
majiang and gongfu.
The fourth annual MS Temple Fair aimed to provide meaningful
opportunities for students to engage in Chinese culture by
participating in cultural activities and interacting with Chinese
experts while gaining an increased understanding of the historical
and cultural significance behind New
Year’s traditions.
The fair also provided MS students with the opportunity to exercise
leadership by mentoring ES students.
