Grade 4 students.
Join us for a Visual Arts display (including
a fabulous bag shop!) in the Elementary School
lobby from 6.00pm, followed by a Performing
Arts show at 6.30pm in the Founders' Theater. |

School WABathon 2006

- 11.00am

For the uninitiated, WABathon is two hours
of fun aerobic exercises and routines promoting
health and fitness.
There will be dance, aerobics, novelty workouts
and surprise appearances. All funds raised
from the event will support Beijing athletes
who will have a chance to compete in the
2007 Special Olympics in Shanghai.
Don't miss out! Please submit your registration
form and 50 RMB donation to the Elementary
School office as soon as possible. |

Workshop - "How To Behave So Your
Preschooler Will Too"

Parents are invited to attend "How to
Behave So Your Preschooler Will Too"
- the first of our Elementary School 'Parenting
Series' workshops.
The workshop will focus on the parenting
of 3 - 6 year olds, a key and exciting time
in a child's development as they take their
first steps towards independence.
The session will address the importance of
parents' relationships with their young children
and how to manage the unpredictable highs
and lows of this age group.

Road
Works on Lai Guang Ying Dong Lu
The Beijing City government has begun to repair Lai Guang
Yin Dong Lu directly in front of the school. The roadwork
should take approximately 2 months. Currently only one-half
of the road is open to traffic in both directions.

‘Parenting
in Beijing’ Seminar
Tuesday 11 October 2005
You are invited to attend the first of our three-part
autumn series, ‘Parenting in Beijing’, hosted
by the WAB Counseling Department. The first seminar: “Session
#1 - The Talk About Town: Is it Urban Myth or Reality?”,
was held on Thursday 29 September. Conversation from Session
#1 will continue on Tuesday 11 October 2005 from 9-10am.

High
School Bus Schedule for October 11 & 12
Please note, there will be no 4:30pm or 5:30pm buses on
October 11 and 12, due to early dismissal for Parent Teacher
Conferences. Please download the below High School (HS)
Bus Schedule for October 11 & 12.
HS Parent Teacher Conferences will begin at 3.45pm. The
normal late bus schedule and routes will be moved forward
so that a second set of buses will depart WAB at 3.45pm
on both Tuesday and Wednesday.
High School students not attending conferences with their
parents should board these buses at 3.45pm or arrange
alternate means of transportation. Attached is the schedule
showing routes for these buses. |

MSHS
ONLINE CAMP FORUM
Middle School and High School students participated in
China Studies Field Trips across the country. To help
you become more involved in your child’s camp experience,
WAB is piloting a new technology program: the MSHS Camp
Forum! When camp leaders check in with the school their
