Spectacles Collection
The spectacles collection is now over. Some 40 pairs of glasses were collected and will shortly be sent off to Orbis China for analysis and redistribution among the poor Than you to all those who donated!

Small Change Appeal
The Small Change Appeal to raise money for schoolfees for the disadvantaged in China in now over. The last donations are still being counted and a full report will be provided as soon as the full details are know. Once again the WAB community has been wonderfully generous. |

Charity Bazaar
WAB held its annual charity bazaar on Saturday 24 November. Parents and members of the whole community came to shop, buy presents, try exotic foreign food enjoy a day out. The profit from the bazaar amounted to RMB 76,838.20. This money has been donated to the Jinpa Foundation to purchase a herd of yak for the Karmi school in southern Qinghai. The milk from the yak will be added to the children's daily food and will help reduce malnutrition among the children.

Emergency Clothing Appeal
From 3 to 7 December the Charity Committee appealed for warm winter clothing for a village in Danian that had burned down and where the residents had been left homeless and destitute. WAB donated a massive 28 bags of warm winter clothing. Thank you, WAB, for your generosity! |
The Children's Clothing Drive
In October gently used children's and babies' clothing was collected. Twenty postal bags were sent off to the Charles Foundation, the Jinpa Foundation and an orphanage up on the Western plateau. Further boxes were distributed to local orphanages. A total of 30 boxes of clothing was collected. |
