Introducing High School Center Food Services
WAB has strived to provide a progressive approach to food services
throughout the school to meet the needs of an international community,
eating styles and age group of students and to provide comfortable
dining outlets.

Menus
A list of all food items and prices will posted on Wednesday, August
8. Menus for the first two weeks will be posted on http://www.sodexhoeducationcn.com
from Thursday, August 9.
Smart Cards/ID Cards
All new students are issued with a student identification (ID/Smart
Card) on New Student Orientation Day Friday, August 10.
All returning students will be issued with a new ID/Smart Card on
the morning of the first day of school.
All balances from 2006/07
are automatically transferred ‘forward’.
Smart Card balances are not stored on the card itself and are not
lost if the card is lost. There is however, a charge of RMB 16 for
replacement of a lost card.
Parents
New parents will be issued with a parent ID card on Friday, August
10. These parent ID cards can be changed to Smart Cards by request
to the Food Services Manager any time during the school year.
Parent ID/Smart Cards will enable the user to purchase food at
all WAB food outlets.
Smart Card Re-Charging (paying in credit)
Smart Cards should be maintained with a minimum positive balance
of RMB 150. Should a student card
reach a negative balance, a ‘reminder notice’ to add
value to the card will be sent home through homeroom teachers.
It is recommend depositing a minimum of RMB 300 to avoid frequent
reloading.
Parents and students should check their transactions and balance
reports on a regular basis to ensure that no interruption to meal
service occurs (see Balance Report section below). Smart Card payment
can be made at the Recharging Cash Desks in ‘the Atrium’
(ES), ‘Link Bistro’ (HUB) or the Bamboo Court (HS),
or by using express service recharging envelopes. Smart Cards can
be recharged daily between 8:00 am and 3:00 pm (except on Friday
8:00 am to 2:30 pm).
In the Elementary School ‘Express Service Recharging’
can be done by including payment in the specially designed ‘Recharging
Envelope’ which can be deposited in the locked recharging
box in each classroom or directly to the Recharging Counter. In
the Middle School and High School ‘Express Service Recharging’
envelopes should be handed directly to the cashier in ‘Link
Bistro’ or Bamboo Court. A receipt will be returned to the
student in the same envelope the next day through the Home Room
Teacher.
Smart Card Balance Report
Smart Card balance and transaction reports can be viewed on line
on the WAB website/Student Services at: http://food.wab.edu/signin.asp
(updated each Friday). Individual reports are password protected
on the WAB website/Student Services. The password is the student
smart card number. Also you can consult the whole month menus at http://www.sodexhoeducationcn.com (select Beijing and finally WAB).
