As a researcher and journalist for the Financial Times' Beijing Bureau, Christian Shepherd covers global business and finance news in China.

Christian's interest in Chinese language began while he was a student at WAB. He went on to continue studying Chinese and earned graduate and post- graduate degrees at two of the world's most prestigious universities: Oxford and Tsinghua. His experience allows him to excel in his role, covering topics like climate change at the United Nations convention, international trade cooperation, and high level diplomatic engagements.
