On Tuesday, February 6, join us at Western Academy of Beijing for a rare chance to meet New York Times bestselling author Livia Blackburne.
A graduate of both Harvard University and Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Livia has always had a passion for writing and reading. After finishing her first novel while earning a doctorate in neuroscience, Livia decided to change her career path and become a full-time author.
During this special Distinguished Speaker Series, you will hear about Livia's journey of transformation from neuroscientist to author, how the two careers are linked, and why Livia believes it is so important to remain open to opportunities that arise in life. She will also discuss her blog, where she investigates how writing impacts the brain.
Join Livia's DSS event from 6-7:30pm in WAB's Founders' Theatre. Sign up here. Admission is free, and the event is open to the public.
