Tigers Basketball Teams Up with Rivals Against Cancer

Western Academy of Beijing Tigers basketball teams will host the first ever "Charity Event Night" on Friday, December 9.

The Tigers Varsity Boys and Girls Basketball teams will cooperate with their nearby rival, International School of Beijing, to create a fun and dynamic atmosphere during their games at WAB and unite in the fight against cancer. 50rmb gets you a ticket for the event, and enters you into a raffle to win great prizes. All proceeds will be donated to cancer research.

We'll have a joint pep band, IB dancers from both schools, and rock bands to get the crowd fired up. The evening will kick off with a cookout at 5pm outside the HUB Link with live music and information on cancer research and the night's activities.

After the initial welcome, the action will move to the HUB Gym to rock out with a live band as the girls teams warm up on the court. Then the sporting action starts at 6pm, with starting line-ups, a pep band playing during all breaks in play and live entertainment during halftime and more bands between the games. More performances will follow, and the boys will take the court at 7:30pm.

The gym will be full, the atmosphere will be rocking and the competition will be strong. We hope you will bring the whole family out and join us for WAB's first ever "Charity Event Night" and join us in raising money in the fight against cancer.
