A Weekend of Sports, Arts & Music at WAB

Cheer on your Tigers this week at WABX to the MAX, a festival or sports and arts that is sure to keep you entertained all weekend long!

More than 500 students from international high schools around the region will gather at Western Academy of Beijing to compete and perform in a series of tournaments and showcases.

The athletics competitions include boys and girls rugby, volleyball, tennis, cross-country and swimming. The sports action kicks off Friday afternoon with tennis in the Tiger L'Air sports dome and on Tiger Field with rugby. It continues all day Saturday with championship matches in the early evening.

Performances and workshops will be running all weekend long as part of the WABX to the MAX jazz and dance festival. Musicians and dancers will be working in groups and showcasing their work at different times throughout the weekend. Led by the Rafal Sarnecki Quintet, there will be a series of concert performances throughout campus, and the dancers will be performing in a number of styles, including hip-hop, Chinese traditional and Latin American.

Not in town? Don't worry! The action will be streaming live all weekend long with commentary and analysis by WAB's Tiger Sports and Entertainment Network -- a student-run broadcasting station. Tune in at livestream.wab.edu.
