Thousands of people opened their holiday celebrations at this year’s WAB Winter Charity Bazaar, and the school’s Charity Link is excited to announce how proceeds will benefit charity organizations and clubs.
The WAB Winter Charity Bazaar raised 103,000RMB, which was used to make donations to several charities including HOPE, Migrant Children Foundation, Love & Hope Center, RenYuYuan Learning House, and Roundabout. A special thanks go to WAB’s Chinese Link and Korean Link for their donations to these causes. (Find more information about these charities at the bottom of this page.)
Funds raised from our annual apple sales went directly to the charity Children of Madaifu.
The tradition of our angel ornament sales, as well as extra donations from families, will go to the charity Educating Girls of Rural China to provide scholarships. Our goal this year is to raise 120,000 RMB, and that will pay for 20 girls to attend high school.
The event and the impacts we made would not have been possible without contributions from the students, parents, faculty, volunteers, charity organizations, sponsors, vendors, and shoppers. We would like also to thanks Beijing Riviera Country Club for hosting the event.
