Grade 3 Student Celebrates 20th with Special Watercolor

The Western Academy of Beijing community has been celebrating WAB's 20th Anniversary in 2014, but one person contributing to the birthday more than ever is Grade 3 student Aaliyah Wang.

Aaliyah created a watercolor as a birthday present to WAB for its 20th Birthday. This painting was reproduced into limited prints and stationery cards that were sold at Tiger Tales: 20 Years of WAB Stories on October 18.

Proceeds from sales are going to Yingbo Migrant Kindergarten and the Huiling Trainee Program. If you have not yet had the chance, you can still contribute by purchasing a limited birthday print (300 RMB) or stationery cards with official 20th birthday logo (15 RMB each, 8 cards for 100 RMB) from our Parent Link shops.

Aaliyah and her father have been doing a lot of artistic work for WAB in recent months. Together they designed WAB's new Tiger Logo. She attended Saturday night's 20th Anniversary party with her family as a special guest.

Aaliyah is no stranger to creating artwork for others' benefit. She also created artwork that benefited charities as a first and second grader.

This will make a huge difference to our charities, while giving you a beautiful piece of artwork celebrating WAB's 20th. Thank you to Aaliyah and all who have contributed so far.
